Christmas is coming!

Monday, December 31st, 2007

Phew, another Christmas come and gone, doesn’t seem like a year since the last one, and it just isn’t the same without Eric and Ernie! Actually, the tv was hardly switched on in the Smith household over the festive season, but last night, I watched the Christmas special of Extras, which I found absolutely superb. I was the only one in the room who did, and can’t understand why Mrs Smith and our offspring didn’t share my enthusiasm. But hey ho, as Santa says.
And it was another Christmas where the Smith’s didn’t send cards, I hope apologies are not necessary, but for quite a few years now, we have sent a donation to those less fortunate at this time of the year, and HARC had our support this time.
I have returned my mother-in-law to her home in Lancashire, am about to take daughter to Nottingham, and will then sit quietly reading the latest Beano annual, with a glass of labelled-specially-for-me Glenfiddich.

Happy New year.

Tormogger: the new one!

Sunday, December 2nd, 2007

Some of you might breath a sigh of relief: no more Tormoggers this year! Others might think “Roll on 2008 for the next issue” while others might be thinking “I hope I can take this job off Smithy at the AGM” (News for you: you can!)
